About UBA

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) is a flagship programme of the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GoI). Its vision is to leverage the knowledge and resources of higher educational institutions to bring about transformative change in rural development and build an inclusive India.

The mission of UBA is to enable higher educational institutions to work with people in rural India to identify development challenges and find appropriate solutions for sustainable growth. The programme aims to strengthen the connection between society and the academic system by sharing knowledge, promoting best practices, and enhancing the capabilities of both public and private sectors to respond effectively to the developmental needs of rural India.
